The Strands We Cut:
"Unveiling the Potential of Human Hair Waste"
The Strands We Cut is a project aimed at redefining the perception of human hair waste and exploring its multifaceted characteristics more closely. Unfortunately, most human hair is typically thrown away, causing chemical pollution, residue burning, and clogged waterways. This project explores the potential of recycling human hair. Designers are challenged to use hair waste for new products to be developed, but the public is also called upon to review its judgements about it, it is not a dirty product, it is a clean product with many qualities. The deeper layer is to encourage people to take good care of a product they naturally produce, their hair, and to adapt ecologically friendly hair care practices. Resulting in better hair quality while benefiting the planet.
